Huawei's rotating CEO Hu Houkun (Ken Hu) recently revealed that their company shipped 153 million units of Huawei and Honor branded phones last 2017!

For the first 3 quarters, Huawei has shipped over 100 million unitsLast 2016, Huawei shipped close to 140 million units (139 million to be exact) of phones overall.

It means that Huawei has shipped 50 million more last quarter of 2017 and shipped 14 million units more versus 2016.

Ken Hu also revealed that Huawei eared around 600 billion yuan which is better by 15 percent versus 2016.

Huawei also revealed that the company's global market share has surpassed 10 percent.

Currently, Huawei is the number 3 smartphone brand in the world in terms of total units shipped.

Huawei aims to be the number 1 smartphone brand in the world in 2021.

Huawei's success is due to its massive efforts in improving its brand image, research and development, and adding innovative features. The company's high-end market is now wider than ever and they also improved their mid-range segment with the new Nova series.

Globally, Huawei's brand awareness incresed from 81 percent in 2016 to 86 percent in 2017.

Then aside from the cameras, Huawei banked on A.I. to improve product performance and design truly intelligent phones to make tasks easier than ever.

Currently, Huawei has over 1,400 offline service centers in 105 countries and regions, including nearly 800 Huawei-branded service stores.

Here in the Philippines, Huawei's market share is just starting to grow. But, that could change soon due to the massive success of the Nova 2i and the quality of the Mate 10 flagship series.
