Xiaomi Surge S2 processor specs leaked

Based on new reports, Xiaomi's first chipset, the Surge S1 chipset will have a follow-up soon, the Surge S2.

According to rumors, the Surge S2 will be based on TSMC's 16nm manufacturing process. It could feature an octa-core processor with four Cortex A73 at 2.2GHz and other lower clocked A53 1.8GHz quad-core chip.

Other rumors states that the Surge S2 will have Mali-G71MP8 graphics, UFS 2.1, and LPDDR4 RAM support. The specs suggests the the S2 could be on par with the Kirin 960 2016 chip by Huawei.

The Xiaomi Surge S2 chipset could be the one that will power the Xiaomi Mi 6C or the Xiaomi Mi 6X.

There are also rumors that it could be revealed this MWC 2018. However, that's all we know for now.
