HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ now official!

HTC just launched the Desire 12 and Desire 12+, two new mid-range smartphones with the modern 18:9 screen aspect ratio.

Desire 12

The HTC Desire 12 is the lower-end model of the two. It has a smaller 5.5-inch HD+ 1440 x 720 resolution 2.5D screen and the lesser specs inside.

In particular, it only has a 64-bit MT6739 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It is paired with a PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage up to 2TB, and 2,730mAh battery.

On the camera part, it has 13MP primary shooter with f/2.2 aperture size, PDAF, BSI, and 1080p video recording. For selfies, it has 5MP snapper with f/2.4 aperture size.

It also has WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM card slots. It boots with Android 7.0 Noguat OS with HTC Sense UI.

On the other hand, the HTC Desire 12+ is the bigger and beefier model. It has large 6-inch HD+ 1440 x 720 resolution 2.5D screen, 1.8GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage up to 2TB, and 2,965mAh battery capacity.

On the camera part, it has a 13MP f/2.2 + 2MP dual camera setup at the back with PDAF, BSI, and 1080p video recording. It also has a larger 8MP f/2.0 front camera sensor with BSI and LED flash.

It also has a fingerprint scanner at the back, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM card slots.

It boots with the newer Android 8.0 Oreo OS with HTC Sense UI skin.
