Prestigio 3450 is the company's entry level handset built for individuals who wants a stylish looking phone with decent performance at a low price tag. At 4.5 inch this would be great for those who love a smaller screened phone. We got a unit with us to share with you our thoughts about it.

Unboxing / Accessories

Prestigio 3450 Duo box |
The Multiphone 3450 Duo comes in a thick hard box that looks expensive. Upon opening the box, you'll get the Prestigio Multiphone 3450 Duo itself, wall charger adapter, thick micro USB data cable / charger, battery and manuals.
|
Accessories included in the package |
Everything was pretty standard except for the included wall charger as you'll be needing an adapter first to make it work here in the Philippines.
Build Quality / Design
|
The elegant matte finish at the back |
The Prestigio 3450 Duo features an all plastic body, but that doesn't mean that it will feel flimsy. This device is made out of thick and durable plastic that can surely survive some abuse. I also like the way that it feels great to hold and not slippery to your hands. The matte back finish at the back isn't also prone to scratches which is great if you're the type of person that doesn't like to put a phone case.

When it comes to the design, this phone features a standard look that has a normal thickness at 9.6 mm. The bezels isn't that slim, but considering the price its totally understandable. All the buttons and ports placement seems to be nice too which is quite easy to locate and use.
Display Quality
|
The display |
The Multiphone 3450 Duo features a small 4.5 Inch 854 x 480 resolution that's desirable for those who wanted a smaller screen size. It features sharp enough details, decent brightness quite good viewing angles and nice color tone. However, it's not OGS yet where-in you can see some gap from the screen and phone. It also has 2 point multi touch only that may not make this that responsive to applications and games that needed more touching points.
Audio Quality
When it comes to the audio quality part, the Prestigio Multiphone 3450 duo was able to give me some reasonable performance. The speakers were loud enough and clear, I only needed over 60% of volume to get my satisfactory loudness.
The audio out thru headphones also gave me the some decent performance. While it's not as loud compared to my other smartphones right now, it can probably drive most earbuds, in ear monitors and small headphones. It has a clear balanced sound signature that has decent soundstage and sound layering.
It also features a good type of single microphone that can give you clear calls. It's not as detailed as compared with multiple app setup, but it's good enough to give you a decent experience.
Battery
When it comes to longevity of battery on normal usage, it was able to last with me for a little more than 7 hours with general SMS usage, some calls, browsing the net and taking photos. Under heavy usage like gaming and looping videos it can last for a more than 3 hours. Charging time usually takes me less than 2 hours.
Camera
The Multiphone 3450 utilizes a 5 MP rear camera with single LED flash at the back and 2 MP shooter in front for selfie purposes. The rear camera can produce decent shots with good lighting and has a good type of flash in the dark. There's nothing too special about it, but this is acceptable enough in case you need a backup smartphone camera. The focus and shutter speed is a bit slow so you'll need a little bit more patience to produce good shots.
On the other hand, the selfie camera needs improvement. Even at 2 MP the shots were grainy and falters even under "should be decent lighting".

Performance
|
Antutu score and multitouch test |
When it comes to the general performance and smoothness of the phone, the combo of MT6582M, Mali 400 and 512 MB of RAM was able to deliver what I expected. It's great for social media, browsing and using the camera. However, due to the lack of at least 1 GB of RAM, this phone isn't that good to heavy multitasking. It's also good enough for casual gaming and can run moderate games that doesn't require more RAM.
This phone is also full of pre-installed apps. Most of them are useful while some might label them as a bloatware. Personally, I love the FREE 200 GB cloud storage, the multistore and e-book reader.
Overall, this phone is decent enough for your general Android phone usage. Just don't expect too much from given its specs and price.
Pro's - Stylish yet tough build quality, decent performance, good price for a lifestyle phone especially after the price cut, free 200 GB cloud storage
Con's - 2 point multi touch only, front camera isn't that good, a bit thick
Verdict
It's a well designed 4.5 inch phone that looks good and feels durable. Aside from that, the Prestigio Multiphone 3450 Duo is also a decent performer that rarely falters on light to moderate usage. I would recommend this to those who want a small stylish looking branded handset that can get the job done. While it's not the most powerful specs-wise out there and there are several compromises, for a lifestyle phone that's built to last, it's a good deal.
