Even if internet speed and connectivity is a road block for now, there's no denying that Cloud Storage is the way to go in the future and Acer is one of the first big brand that's prepping for that change soon. At the MWC last week, they announced their latest Flagship called the Liquid Jade 2, a powerful device with HUGE more than 1 TB hybrid storage.

Going to its specs first, the Liquid Jade 2 still resembles some of the design perspective that made Acer phones look sleek while nice to hold. It goes with a 5.5 inch FHD AMOLED screen with 2.5D curved arc and Zero Air Gap that's protected with Gorilla Glass, the 64 Bit Snapdragon 808 SoC and 3 GB of RAM.

You'll also find a pretty large 21 MP rear camera at the back with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), dual LED flash and professional mode function that has manual controls. In front there's an 8 MP shooter that should be good enough for selfies and video calls. The Jade 2 also goes with DTS Headphone X technology that improves audio features of this phone.

Moving forward, the main highlight of this handset is the "more than 1 TB of hybrid storage" which means that you'll get a combination of 32 GB of native storage that's expandable up to 200 GB via micro SD card slot and a 1 TB hybrid storage via cloud! Acer stated that "users can install apps, store and access music, photos, and video collections easily with their favorite apps." With that, users will can surely store a lot of goodies on their phones.

However, there's no other information regarding that technology on how will it work. I'm expecting an implementation pretty similar with the Robin of Nexbit. Anyway, this news from Acer only means that future is here.

There's no word yet on all the missing specs, details and price of the said phone. Stay tuned for more updates. Let's hope that this device will land here in the Philippines as well.

What do you think guys?
