Google Is Testing Triangle In PH, An Experimental Data Saving App

Google has a new app being tried out in the Philippines, the Triangle. It's designed to help users manage data and even block unwanted background data.

A data saving app with rewards

The app allows users to view the data being consumed and see apps the apps that are using data. It even has the ability to restrict data usage per-app basis.

Both Globe and Smart prepaid subscribers will earn 100's of extra MBs with data rewards from apps like Mobile Legends, Waze, and more. As a welcome gift after completing a registration, an extra 100 MB data will be received by the user.

The Google Triangle uses a "Data Saver" mode to give you control the apps that's using data to prevent unwanted data usage. It'll let you check specific apps to use data for 10 or 30 minutes at a time, or always.
