IFA 2017: Samsung Outs POWERstick PRO Vacuum And QuickDrive Washing Machine

At the on-going IFA 2017 in Berlin, Samsung unveiled two new interesting home product, the POWERstick PRO wireless vacuum and the WW8800M washing machine.

POWERstick PRO

The Samsung POWERstick PRO is a wireless cordless vacuum with the company's patented Flex Handle which folds up to 50 degrees in a click of a button to let users reach lower furniture with ease.

The POWERstick PRO is a true game-changer in cleaning technology, said B.S. Suh, Executive Vice President of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. With its impressive suction power and ergonomic design for easy maneuvering, this new vacuum cleaner provides the ultimate solution for complete cleaning. We’re incredibly excited for consumers to experience a new level of cleaning and remain committed to providing innovation based on consumer needs.

It boasts 150W of power which spins its two brushes at 5,000 rpm and 32.4V lithium-ion removable power pack with  up to 40 minutes of battery life. Samsung claims that this vacuum captures both fine dust and large particles in the center and one sweep is enough.

The vacuum also has five additional cleaning tools for grabbing dirt and hair strands in carpets, removing dust on bed sheets, mattresses and fabric furniture.

QuickDrive washing machine

On the other hand, Samsung has also revealed their latest washing machine dubbed as the WW8800M. It boasts the QuickDrive technology that allows to reduce a load of laundry time to half.

QuickDrive is the industry’s game changer, dramatically cutting the amount of time it takes for users to do laundry and giving them more time to enjoy life, said B.S. Suh, Executive Vice President of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. The new WW8800M washing machine uses QuickDrive technology to provide fast and powerful washing performance, with a range of technologies and smart functionality that make doing laundry so much easier.

It boasts Q-Drum technology that consist of a large drum and a plate behind that rotates independently. Compared with conventional washers, the WW8800M moves clothes from top to bottom in the drum, and the plate in the back of the drum introduces a back and forth movement to double forces that quickly, gently and thoroughly remove dirt to deliver an intense and complete wash cycle.

It also has the EcoBubble tech by Samsung which provides powerful washing performance by mixing air and water to generate fine detergent bubbles that penetrate fabrics faster and maximize the detergent’s effects even at low temperatures.

Moreover, this washing machine has the Q-rator AI assistant which lets you access 3 smart features like Laundry Planner, Laundry Recipe, and Homecare Wizard. Then it even has AddWash that allows users to add detergent or fabric softener at a later time. 

Pricing and availability of the above-mentioned devices are yet to be announced.
