Unboxing / Accessories
Accessories |
A headset would've been nice to be part of the package and could be considered by some as an essential accessory especially for devices that has a headphone socket.
Build Quality / Design
Pretty solid build! |
It has a metallic back panel that showcases the Kata Logos in the middle and bottom of the panel. It has glass in front, but there's no mention of glass protection. But, this is still one of the better built tablets for the price.
Micro USB port and 3.5 mm headphone slot |

Power button and volume rocker |
At first glance, the T5 showcases a simple but elegant exterior. The feel and and vibe of this tablet is nothing short of premium for the price.
It isn't just that handy as it is a big tablet. But, gladly, it generally feels good in the hands.
Display Quality
Decent screen performance |
For a tablet that is being showcased primarily on the document and office use, the display definitely gives you your money's worth.
Audio Quality
It is not as quirks though as some bass heavy sounds tend to distort on the higher volume ranges which I think could be acceptable to those who just appreciate some music to accompany them during commute.
Battery Life
PCMark results |
Charging time from 0 to 100 percent is at 2.5 hours.
Camera
Camera interface |
But, I do not think anyone would complain much at this price. It has no flash though.
Rear Camera Samples
Outdoor daylight 1 |
Outdoor daylight 2 |
Indoor |
Lowlight |
But, in general, it is even less impressive than the main camera and should be improved.
Performance
Antutu result |
Geekbench score |
What I like from the get go is the apps that came in with the tablet - Netflix, evernote, WPS, Mega VPN, and more. It gives you a bit of assurance that you have some essential apps once you taken the T5 out of the box.
Verdict
The camera is not as great as expected and hopefully can be improved by software updates.
