Sony's freshly launched and value packed Xperia XA1 Plus boasts the same great 23MP primary camera of the well-received Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Plus.

The interesting 23MP sensor is located behind |
It's the f/2.0 Exmor RS sensor w/ pretty big 1/2.3-inch sensor size, Hybrid AF, and Steady shot technology that was able to shoot images in pretty high overall quality for a midrange smartphone.

The 8MP wide selfie camera! |
In front, it has the similar wide type of 8MP f/2.0 sensor w/ SteadyShot tech for selfies found on the regular XA1.
The questions is, can Sony repeat or even improve the camera performance of the XA1 and XA1 Ultra? Here's our first few shots!

So far, the quality of images taken using the main camera is as great (if not better) as its brothers. It shoots images w/ lots of details in daylight w/ not that much noise in lowlight. Colors are also rich and punchy (could be a bit too saturated for some). Contrast and dynamic range is more than acceptable at this price point.
The selfie camera is a bit duller in color, but details are also decent for a front facing camera. It is also very wide for a single sensor! However, unlike selfie-centric phones at this price point, it won't be that rich in details and colors. Sometimes, if you don't have steady hands, selfies and groufies could be soft as well.
