Only 82 points

However, its 16MP f/1.6 OIS + 13MP f/1.9 wide cameras at the back failed to impress the guys at DxOMark as much as they were compared other high-end smartphones from other brands.

In particular, DxOMark only gave the LG V30 a total score of 82 combined points for photos and videos. It got scores of 87 and 73 for photos and videos respectively.

Compared with other flagships, that score is way below than the 98 points of the Google Pixel 2 and 97 points of Apple iPhone X and Huawei Mate 10 series.

Even the 85 score of the old LG V20 (using their old testing methods) is higher than the 83 points of LG V30.

DxOMark noted that the slightly disappointing scores of the V30 is due to its lack of zoom and bokeh mode.

However, it still has punchy exposures, vivid color, good fine detail preservation, and well controlled noise in lowlight. DxOMark also highlighted that the V30 even has better texture preservation and noise versus the Note 8 and iPhone X.

In case you missed it, LG highlighted the videography performance of this smartphone, but it failed to impress the testers on that site.

Its video score of just 73 points, dropped the overall score of V30 down to 82 points only.

What do you think guys? Do you agree with DxOMark?
