What's new with Vivo V9?

Vivo recently announced the V9, the company's latest mid-range grade Android smartphone designed for the selfie generation.

It has a new 24MP front facing camera powered by A.I. and a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio 6.3-inch big FHD+ 19:9 display.

What's new with Vivo V9?

1. The Vivo V9 is a phone that's nearly all about photography - At the back, there's a 16MP + 5MP dual camera setup with bokeh effect. For selfies, it goes with the new 24MP sensor with A.I. for face beauty, HDR, selfie lighting, bokeh, and AR stickers. According to Vivo, the A.I. features also works with the dual cameras behind.

2. Enhanced A.I. Face Beauty - Since the V9 is a selfie-centric smartphone, Vivo improved its face beauty with A.I. technology. Vivo stated that it uses a database of almost one million facial images to determine the age, sex, skin tone, and texture of your face. It can even detect lighting scenarios to shoot well exposed photos always. It can also improve your "natural looking" selfies over time.

3. AR stickers - The Vivo V9 has Snapchat and Instagram-like filters that makes you look cute. Vivo included 40+ built-in stickers to choose from.

4. The FullView screen - Also known as Vivo's All Screen display, the Vivo V9 boasts a tall 19:9 screen aspect ratio in a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen. It also has a massive 90 percent screen-to-body ratio for a wider viewing experience. It has a "love it or hate it" notch that's way smaller and less noticeable than the iPhone X.

5. Improved specs - Coming from its predecessor, the V7, the Vivo V9 now has an improved Snapdragon 626 octa-core chip. It is also paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. VIvo also included a long-lasting 3,260mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, face unlock, and LTE connectivity.

In short, the new Vivo V9 is faster and more intelligent versus the ageing Vivo V7.

The Vivo V9 will be available nationwide starting April 6, 2018 for PHP 17,990.
