Vivo announces NEX S, a flagship with 6.59-inch real bezel-less screen!
From concept to reality! Vivo just made the APEX concept smartphone into an actual device that users can buy. It is now called the NEX S.

The Vivo NEX boasts a massive 6.59-inch Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ 2316 x 1080 resolution, 19.3:9 screen aspect ratio, and a 91.24 percent screen-to-body ratio with no notch!

Vivo achieved this by placing an 8MP f/2.0 pop-up selfie shooter that automatically rises and hides with the use of micro-stepping motors with independent drive ICs and control algorithms. It will make selfie camera on the top pop-up automatically when needed.
It also has micro-slit infrared sensor is also hidden at the top of the screen and SoundCasting Technology that promise better bass and softer treble hidden at the bottom of the display.
Under the hood, this phone is a beast as well. It goes with a the 2.8GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, Adreno 630 GPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage, and 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support via USB Type-C.
On the primary camera part, it has a 12MP f/1.8 Sony IMX363 sensor paired with a secondary 5MP f/2.4 lens. It also has PDAF focus, OIS, and LED flash.
As expected, it has face unlock tech and Vivo's 3rd generation In-Display fingerprint scanning solution.
It also has an impressive CS43199 + SSM6322 amplifier for HiFi audio listening, 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, Bluetooth 5 LTE, GPS, GLONASS, and Android 8.1 Oreo OS w/ FunTouch OS 4.0.
The phone also goes with the AI-powered Energy UI and Jovi AI dedicated hardware button. Vivo also partnered with Tencent, NetEase and Unreal for system-level SDK optimization to improve gaming experience through their own Game Mode 4.0.
It measures at 162 x 77 x 7.98 mm and weighs at 199 g.
