Cherry Mobile has silently launched the Rover 2. It's a budget smartphone equipped with an interesting feature found on high-end devices.

The Cherry Mobile Rover 2 is a rugged looking one. It is probably the most affordable smartphone in the country with IP68 water and dust resistance rating.

The specs of Rover 2

In terms of specs, it has a 4-inch TFT screen with WVGA 800 x 480 resolution. Inside, it runs with a 1.2GHz SC7731C quad-core processor with Mali-400 GPU.

It also has 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM expandable via microSD card up to 32GB, 2,800mAh battery, 5MP main camera with flash, 2MP selfie camera, WiFi, 3G, FM Radio, GPS, A-GPS, and dual SIM slots.

It loads with Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The Rover 2 is priced at just PHP 2,999.

The phone was spotted at Shopee Philippines. According to our source, it is now available to some stores as well.
