IFA 2018: Dell launches Inspiron 5000 and 7000 laptops

At the IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany, Dell launched the new Inspiron 14 5000 and Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 laptops.

The new laptops by dell aims to bring flagship features found on the XPS series for less.

First is the Inspiron 14 5000. It features a 14-inch FHD touchscreen display with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and an optional Nvidia GeForce MX130 graphics.

It has up to 32GB RAM and Intel Optane storage pairing options. Storage starts at 128GB SSD and 256GB SSD paired with 2TB HDD. It also has Amzone Alexa and Dell Mobile Connect software.

Next is the beefier Inspiron 7000 series. It has a 13-inch variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage. It also has a 15-inch and 17-inch models with up to 512GB SSD and 2TB HDD.

All three variants of the Inspiron 7000 series will come with optional Intel Optane memory.

It also has a webcam on top of the screen despite its small bezels. It even has a new fingerprint reader.

As expected, all three phones has Amazon Alexa and Dell's Mobile Connect software.

The devices will be available in the US starting October 2.

Price for the Inspiron 5000 starts at USD 459 or around PHP 24.5K. It will be available in the US first on October 2.

Price for the Inspiron 7000 series starts at USD 879 or around PHP 46.9K. The top model is priced at USD 1,099 or around PHP 58.7K.

We do not know if it'll be available in the Philippines yet.
