Right on schedule, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A30 and A50 in the Philippines. They are mid-rangers with GREAT specs for the price.

Samsung Galaxy A30 highlights

First off, the Galaxy A30. It's a phone with a stylish glossy back design and a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it runs with 1.8GHz Exynos 7904 octa-core processor like the Galaxy M20. But, it has an upgraded RAM and ROM size at 4GB and 64GB, respectively. It is also powered with a pretty big 4,000mAh battery capacity with adaptive charging tech via USB-C.

On the camera part, it goes with a 16MP f/1.7 primary camera paired with a 5MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens. For selfies, it goes with a 16MP f/2.0 sensor.

As expected, it is complete with a face unlock tech, fingerprint sensor, WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS, and dual SIM slots. It also runs with the new One UI skin based on Android 9.0 Pie OS.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A50 is a monster for a mid-range device. It also a big 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, but it runs with a 10nm chipset inside, the 2.3GHz 64-bit Exynos 9610 octa-core processor.

Moreover, it has a massive 6GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage! It also has the large 4,000mAh battery with USB-C fast charging support.

In addition, it has a triple-camera setup. It features a 25MP f/1.7 + 8MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens + 5MP depth sensor! For selfies, you will even find a 25MP f/2.0 shooter. It also comes with the AI Scene Optimizer feature.

It is also one few with an In-Display fingerprint scanner at this price point. It also comes with the usual WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

The Samsung Galaxy A30 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at just PHP 13,990 while the Samsung Galaxy A50 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at PHP 17,990.

Pre-order starts on March 16 and will end on March 29. Those who will pre-order will get freebies such as the Samsung 10000mAh battery pack worth PHP 1,299, JBL GO 2 worth PHP 2,299, and a mini tripod.

Customers who will buy on March 30 to 31 will also get the JBL GO 2 speaker.
