By default, Vivo V15 Pro shoots respectable images even in low light for a phone. Why? It has a powerful triple-camera setup.

Vivo V15 Pro Super Night Mode |
One of those cameras is a 48MP f/1.8 sensor with pixel binning tech. It combines four pixels into one detailed and bright 12MP output.
But, Vivo is not stopping there. The company now has their own night mode, the Super Night Mode. Vivo's Super Night Mode tech shoots handheld multiple exposures for 2 seconds. It is assisted by PDAF and AI for blur free shots.
We tested it during our trip to Hong Kong and Macau last week and here's what we think of it.
Watch: Vivo V15 Pro's Super Night Mode feature allowed us to shoot clearer images in the dark
On auto mode, our low light shot looks respectable. But with the use of Super Night Mode, it is better, brighter, and clearer.

Normal vs Super Night Mode |
It has better exposure and wider dynamic range as well. The night mode is more ideal in non-moving subjects.
Basically, its night mode works like a pro mode with tripod, but without the need of a tripod and skills to use the pro mode.
The result are images with plenty of details, less noise, good exposure, punchy colors, and nice dynamic range even in low light.

My only gripe is the Super Night Mode doesn't work with the secondary 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens. Fortunately, most of our low light shots using the ultra-wide lens are still considered as decent.
Our thoughts
Vivo's effort to make a camera phone with a solid night mode feature is successful.
It is a useful feature that will help even amateur mobile photographers take better images in the dark.
It is not perfect BUT, the results we got are still way better than not having the Super Night Mode at all.
For the price, its output is considered as impressive.
