New Nova phones soon! |
Based on a new leak from China, the Nova series will include the Nova 5i, Nova 5, and Nova 5 Pro. Nova 5i will be the entry-level model powered by the aging Kirin 710 chip. Nova 5 Pro will run with the flagship 7nm Kirin 980 Dual-NPU chip.
Kirin 810??
The new info here is the chip that Nova 5 will use. According to @RODENT950, the Nova 5 will be powered by the unannounced Kirin 810 chip.
The tipster said that HiSilicon's new chip is the direct successor of the Kirin 710 and the competitor of Snapdragon 730. It is a premium mid-range chip based on a 7nm process.
The other new news is the cameras that the Nova 5 Pro will use. It comes with quad rear camera setup. There are three vertically stacked sensors and the fourth lens is found on the right.
Since it doesn't have a rear-facing fingerprint reader. It is safe to assume that it'll feature either a side-mounted fingerprint scanner or an In-Display fingerprint reader.
More info about these phones will be revealed next week. Stay tuned!
