HONOR just revealed that the company will make the HONOR 8S official at Shopee Philippines on July 13.

HONOR's newest budget phone will go official at Shopee on July 13

The confirmation came from the HONOR Philippines officials, just a day after the company's announcement that the above-mentioned phone will launch in the country soon.

Generally, HONOR 8S reminds us of the Huawei Y5 2019. 8S is the company's first budget phone with two-tone textured back design and a tiny dewdrop notch.

Like the Y5 2019, it uses a tall 5.71-inch display with HD+ resolution and 19:9 screen aspect ratio. Inside, it runs with the 12nm 64-bit Helio A22 quad-core processor, PowerVR GE8300 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 3,020mAh battery, 13MP f/1.8 main cam, 5MP f/2.2 selfie cam, 4G LTE, GPS, dual SIM slots, and Android 9.0 Pie OS with EMUI 9.0 skin on top.

The difference between Y5 2019 and 8S is the former goes with a hidden softlight LED flash on the right side of the selfie camera.

WE do not know its exact price yet, but the company's official told team GIZGUIDE that it will be affordable for its specs and design. 

In Russia, it is priced at RUB 8,490 (around PHP 6.8K). Let's hope that it'll come with a cheaper price tag here.
