Instagram is fighting online bullying

Recently, Instagram announced two new features to stop online bullying. Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO took to an Instagram post to elaborate on these new features.

The first feature called 'Restrict' is to address people who are hesitant to block, unfollow or report bullies for fear that it will worsen the situation. Restrict protects your account from bullying without notifying the person you choose to restrict. Once a person is restricted, only you and the restricted person can see each other's posts unless you approve their comments.

The second feature is 'Comment Warning' which 'warns' users when their comment is considered offensive before they post it. This is said to encourage some people to retract their comment and interact in a kinder manner.
