Good move by Xiaomi?

To recall, MediaTek's Helio G90T is more powerful than the regular G90. It uses a 12nm 2x 2.05GHz Cortex-A76 + 2.0GHz 6x Cortex-A55 octa-core processor paired with an 800MHz ARM Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU.

G90T also has support for up to 10GB RAM, up to 64MP camera, HDR10, and Dual 4G VoLTE support.

MediaTek also introduced the "HyperEngine" technology to boost the overall performance of the phone with the G90T chip.

In addition, initial benchmark scores revealed that the Helio G90 chips are more powerful than Snapdragon 730. It got an AnTuTu score of over 220K and a Geekbench multi-core score of 7,193!

In comparison, our Xiaomi Mi 9T with Snapdragon 730 only got a score of 213K at AnTuTu.

That's pretty promising as the Helio G90T is expected to be available on phones that are more affordable than Snapdragon 730 powered devices.

Could we expect to see this new Xiaomi chip on the rumored Redmi Note 8 Pro?
