Canon EOS 90D and EOS M6 Mark II |
Canon EOS 90D, EOS M6 Mark II with 32MP CMOS sensor now official!
Several months after the announcement of their new point-and-shoot cameras, Canon announces two new 32.5P APS-C cameras, the EOS 90D DSLR camera and the EOS M6 Mark II mirrorless camera. The 90D replaces the older 80D while the EOS M6 Mark II replaces the older M5 and the original M6.
The 90D replaces the older 80D while the EOS M6 Mark II replaces the older M5 and the original M6.
Both cameras sport the highest resolution APS-C sensor in the market today at 32.5-megapixel with the DIGIC 8 image processor, and Dual-Pixel autofocus. (even during 4K video recording) This enables shutter speeds of up to 1/16000th of a second, 1080p 120fps slow motion, and up to uncropped 4K/30fps video recording.
Both cameras have dual-pixel autofocus in Live View with over 5,481 selectable AF points. The two new cameras can connect via WiFi, and Bluetooth.
Where they differ is that the EOS 90D is weather-sealed, has a built-in optical viewfinder, can shoot up to 10fps and connects via microUSB as opposed to the EOS M6 that is not weather-sealed, has a hotshoe mountable Electronic viewfinder (that is sold separately depending on the kit purchased), can shoot up to 14 frames per second, and connects via USB Type-C.
