Huawei Mate X's updated specs

Apparently, Huawei updated the specs of Mate X before its expected launch. It now houses the new Kirin 990 SoC and similar cameras found on the P30 Pro. It now uses the 40MP RYYB primary camera instead of RGB.

With the Samsung Galaxy Fold's issues with its design and engineering, Huawei also followed suit in delaying the launch of its own device.

Fortunately, the delay did not solely focus on redesigning and strengthening its build quality. These specs upgrade are huge upgrades from its announced specs.

Kirin 990 is also going to power the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro. The newer P30 Pro cameras are also huge leaps from the Mate 20's rear camera setup. Now, instead of an RGB sensor, the Mate X has an RYYB main sensor.

Mate X has received some great first impressions due to its design. It has an outward folding screen that brings the other half of the display at the back of the device.

Folded, it looks more of a conventional device compared to the Galaxy Fold. The also opens up the opportunity to use the quad-camera sensors for both normal photos and in selfies.

Huawei proves that Mate X is worth the wait. Its specs are now more updated than what was presented a couple months back.
