Right on schedule, Huawei launched the Nova 5T in Malaysia and it is looking to be a beastly mid-range offering.

First off, the Huawei Nova 5T features a new and shiny holographic type of back cover design.

In front, it uses a 6.26-inch 2340 x 1080 FHD+ FullView display with not notch since it has a punch-hole 32MP selfie shooter.

Inside, it runs with the flagship-grade 7nm Kirin 980 processor, Mali-G76 MP10 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB storage, and a 3,700mAh battery with 22.5W Huawei SuperCharge fast charging.

For the rear cameras, it has quad sensors with 48MP f/1.8 aperture + 16MP f/2.2 sensor with ultra wide-angle lens + 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro lens + 2MP f/2.4 depth of field lens with PDAF, CAF, and LED flash.

The Nova 5T also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB-C audio, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5 LE, and GPS. It is running Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1.

Price and availability

It is currently only announced in Malaysia with a price of RM 1,599 (around PHP 19.8K without taxes and duties yet).
