Here are the improvements you can expect

These 10th Gen Core processors sport a 10nm design that makes it perfect for portable slim laptops and 2-in-1s. Intel boasts faster performance and responsiveness plus AI, better graphics, connectivity, and I/O optimizations. The new processors also have the new Intel Iris Plus graphics and high performance AI for PCs.

There are two series of processors which are the U-Series and Y-Series. Both have 4 cores/8 logical cores. Both also feature Gen 11 Intel Graphics Engine, support for 32GB LP4/x-3733 or up to 64GB DDR4 3200 RAM, Intel Optane memory support, PCIe 3.0, SATA, SD 3.0, and EMMC 5.1 storage.

Both series also have 16 lane PCIe 3.0 lanes, WiFi 6 and Thunderbolt 3.0 support. There is an embedded display port, USB-C, USB 3, and USB 2.0 as well. These Gen 11 GPUs also support VESA's Adaptive Sync display standard which is a first for Intel.

Release date and availability

Intel Ice Lake processors will be available in new laptops from different PC manufacturers starting this November to December.
