New file transfer protocol for Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo
It will be a new wireless file transfer protocol that will work on Xiaomi's MIUI, OPPO's ColorOS, and Vivo's Funtouch Android skins. We do not know its official name yet, but the post reads "Mobile Direct Fast Exchange".

The file transfer solution will integrate a peer-to-peer system. It will use Bluetooth to pair devices that should be capable of up to 20MB/s transfer speeds.
It isn't really that clear yet, but we also suspect that WiFi helps on the backend as well. It should be similar to Apple AirDrop.'
It should also make file transfers easier across MIUI, ColorOS, and Funtouch OS devices in the near future.
According to reports, a beta version of the service will be released by the end of this month.
When combined, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo are almost half of the Chinese smartphone market at 49 percent last quarter as per Counterpoint Research.
We are unsure if Huawei, the biggest Chinese mobile maker will be tempted to join the party even if they already have their own speedy file transfer solution, the Huawei Share OneHop.
