LMRC launches ikonMNL app for LRT-1 riders

Light Rail Manila Corporation, LMRC, launched the ikotMNL app that provides an information hub for commuters and tourists that ride LRT-1.

ikotMNL provides essential information for LRT-1 passengers

The ikotMNL app features real-time train arrivals and departures schedule, fare information, crowd monitoring in twenty LRT-1 stations, tourist spots, safety reminders, passenger advisories, news, and announcements. There's also a chat service for customer service assistance as well as a feedback form to help improve train service and passenger experience.

According to LRMC, ikotMNL is part of its mission to modernize the LRT-1 experience as it provides passengers with a convenient information hub that they can utilize during their commute. It is also a way to help Metro Manila's tourism as it provides directions to tourist spots near LRT-1 stations.

The next upgrade planned for ikotMNL is a partnership with the beep card as well as QR code functionality with cooperation with its merchants.

The ikotMNL app is available for download at the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play Store for Android devices.
