1. Premium design - Phones with glossy back design in two-tone sapphire blue or midnight black colors is not that common for the price. To my eyes, it looks neat and elegant at the same time. The back design of the phones should match most modern styles.

In front, it uses a large 6.09-inch HD+ screen with a dewdrop notch. The notch is less intrusive than the notches in the past as it is quite small. In the notch, despite being tiny, Huawei even managed to place an 8MP selfie shooter.
Above the notch, there's a neatly hidden earspeaker grill and an LED notification. Neat!
2. A great viewing and listening experience - In contrary to the belief of some, a budget phone could be great for consuming multimedia contents as well.
Why? First, it has a large 6.09-inch display. Second, the resolution at HD+ is not bad. Third, it can produce decent colors. It can go quite bright for improved sunlight legibility as well.
Next, you get a decent sounding single loudspeaker. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack for the fans for wired headphones. I'm also happy to report that the sound from its headphone slot is quite good and it can go loud, thanks to its Huawei Histen 5.0 audio technology for an immersive surround sound effect.
To complete the experience, Huawei added a built-in FM Radio. It is an FM Radio that works even without the use of plugged-in earphones. That's rare!
3. Improved performance - As mentioned, it has an upgraded chipset. Coming from just the Helio A22 quad-core chip, it now uses the MediaTek 2.3GHz 64-bit Helio P35 octa-core processor.
It is a power-efficient budget chip with enhanced AI capabilities to let its users enjoy good performance for less. AnTuTu scores revealed that it got a score of about 100K. It is as fast or faster than Snapdragon 439.
That's more than good enough for loading most social media apps with ease, quickly save photos, and even play some 3D games on low or medium settings.
Huawei also paired it with ample 3GB RAM, large 64GB storage, and enough 3,020mAh battery.
I would just like to note that even if its 3,020mAh battery sounds small, the power-efficiency methods by Huawei made it last for an entire day on a single charge.
4. The large storage - We mentioned this already above, but I would like to stress that it has a large 64GB storage. The standard storage size at this price point is 32GB only. If you have a 64GB storage, you can install more apps or store more music/movies/photos.
In addition, Huawei made sure that it has an expandable storage slot up to 512GB if you have an extra microSD for added storage.
By the way, it has Google Play for all the apps you need.
5. The cameras - Huawei Y6s only has a single camera. But it is a decent type of camera. It is a 13MP f/1.8 shooter with PDAF focus. It performed well in daylight and acceptable in low light. It also has a Pro mode where you can adjust the shutter speed up to 8s and ISO to 3200 for better low light shots if you will use a tripod.
