Realme 6i with Helio G80 and 48MP quad-cam now official

On schedule, realme launched the realme 6i in Myanmar. As expected, it's the very first smartphone in the world to feature the 12nm Mediatek Helio G80 SoC.

The first Helio G80 phone in the world

MediaTek's Helio G80 is the upgrade of the Helio G70 and it is a gaming-focused chip designed for affordable smartphones. The SoC is built using a 2x 2GHz Cortex-A75 cores and 6x 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores. It is paired with ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2.

Behind, the handset sports luggage-looking stripes in White Milk and Green Tea colorways. The gradient design created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa using the spray painting process.

In front, it goes with a 6.5-inch-inch HD+ display with a notch and 89.8 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The phone is paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage expandable up to 256GB via dedicated microSD, and 5,000mAh battery with USB-C 18W fast charging.

For cameras, it sports a 48MP f/1.8 primary camera with PDAF, 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle secondary camera, 2MP 4cm macro, and 2MP f/2.4 monochrome sensor. The selfie camera is a 16MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1μm pixel size.

It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back, WiFi b/g/n, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and dual SIM slots.

The phone runs with realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10 OS.

It measures 164.4 x 75 x 9.0 mm and weighs 195 grams.

The 3GB/64GB version is priced MMK 249,990 (around PHP 9.1K) and the 4GB/128GB edition retails for MMK 299,990 (around PHP 10.9K). It'll be available to pre-order starting March 18 to March 26 and will go on sale on March 29.

Note: No taxes and duties yet.
