Google Philippines shows that Filipinos mostly search about COVID-19, bicycles, and Mother's Day last May

Google Philippines posted recently reported what Filipino's search and inquire most of the time for the month of May.

Filipinos were mainly interested in the vaccine, bikes, and relief efforts

The list reveals that even though Filipino users are interested in COVID-19 updates and relief efforts, they were also keen on bicycles and ideas for Mother's Day celebration during the quarantine.

"Relief Agad" was the most searched topic in Calabarzon, followed by Metro Manila. The map below shows search interest for “Relief Agad” by region in May:

There are also related searches for the Department of Social Welfare and Development surged to a record high on 17 May.

In terms of coronavirus-related searches, the "Moderna coronavirus vaccine" became the top trending search topic. The connected search queries for "vaccine" also increased during this month. The region with the highest search interest in coronavirus over May is Eastern Visayas, followed by Cordillera Administrative Region and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

The search numbers about bicycles has seen an upward trend. in which "mountain bikes" as the most popular variant in May. The graph below shows the search interest in bicycles from 2004 to the present:

For the how-to searches, there was a huge growth of interest on "How to make chili garlic sauce", "How to make lip tint", "How to cook gyoza".
