Panasonic has announced the Toughbook A3 10-inch Android tablet with an 800-nits 10.1-inch LCD display at 1900 x 1200 resolution. It comes with IP 65 water and dust resistance and is MIL-STD-810H compliant.

It features dual-swappable batteries, 5 customizable physical buttons, full-sized USB Type-A, USB Type-C, and dual SIM support. 

The Toughbook A3 is tailor-made for first responders, emergency service personnel, and field service agents where it can be customized to add barcode scanners, smart card reader, or even a second USB Type-A port.

Inside the device is a Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage with expandable microSD slot and two 3,200mAh batteries that are rated up to 8 hours of continuous use. Sold separately by Panasonic are 5,500mAh battery cells which can boost the usage time to 15 hours. The tablet is charged with a proprietary AC adapter.

On top of the display is a 5MP selfie cam and at the back is an 8MP main camera.

In the United Kingdom, the base model Panasonic Toughbook A3 retails for GBP 1,182 (or around PHP 73.5K) and will be available for purchase in August.

There is no word yet on Philippine pricing or availability.
