In China, Huawei announces new MateBook 13 and 14 with the latest Ryzen 4000 series CPUs for 2020!

Alongside the new MateBook X 2020 announcement, Huawei has announced new MateBook 13 and 14-inch laptops with the new Ryzen 4000 processors in the same thin and light notebook form factor.

Inside the new MateBook Xs are either the Ryzen 5 4600H or the Ryzen 7 4800H. These new chips have higher 35-45W TDPs when compared to the 15WTDPs of the regular U-series chips. The new higher-end Ryzen 7 4800H features 8-cores with 16 threads with a base frequency of 2.9GHz and an integrated Vega 7 GPU.

Both the 13-inch and 14-inch models feature a 2K resolution touch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, super slim side bezels, and 100 percent sRGB color gamut coverage. Previous models only covered 88 percent of the sRGB color gamut.

The 13-inch model weighs at just 1.3 kg and measures at 14.9 mm thin while the 14-inch model measures at 15.9 mm and weighs at just 1.49 kg.

Cooling system

Both models have the power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner and both come with 65W Huawei Charger.

Colors include Space Gray, Bright Moon Silver, and Cherry Pink Gold color.

The MateBook 13 and 14-inch are now available for purchase in China starting today, August 19, 2020.

There is no word yet if it will arrive in the Philippines.
