WhatsApp now lets you Mute a chat FOREVER!

On its official Twitter page, WhatsApp has announced that the company has added the feature to mute a chat forever!

Thru its official Twitter page, WhatsApp announced that the latest update for its popular messaging app will allow users to mute a chat forever! This major change is being pushed for iOS, Android and WhatsApp web.

Prior to this new update, users only had the option to mute a chat for 8 hours, 1 Week or 1 Year. The latest update changes the prior '1 Year' option to 'Always.' Aside from this, the WhatsApp will still allow users to choose whether or not to show notification for that chat or not. 

To mute a WhatsApp chat follow these steps:

1. Select and open the chat you want to mute

2. Tap on the Menu option on the top right

3. Select 'Mute Notifications'

4. Press 'Ok'

Once muted, users will see the Unmute notifications option in the chat settings instead of the usual Mute Notifications option.

Other new features that WhatsApp is working on at the moment is multi-device support which will allow users to use the same account on up to 4 different devices. The company also said that they are working on adding voice and video calls on the web client.
