One of the best today!

DxOMark gave iPhone 12 Pro a Photo score of 135, a Zoom score of 66, and a Video score of 112 which is equal to 128 points. This is the fourth highest smartphone camera score at DxOMark's ranking as of writing.

Only the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, and the Huawei Mate 40 Pro have higher scores than this. It is also tied with the Mi 10 Pro with 128 points.

To recall, the iPhone 12 is using a trio of 12MP sensors. The primary 12MP sensor has a bright f/1.6 aperture lens, PDAF focus, and OIS. The 12MP f/2.4 secondary camera is for 120-degree ultra-wide shots and the other 12MP f/2.0 camera is a telephoto sensor with PDAF focus and OIS. It also has the LiDAR Scanner for improved low light focusing, shooting speed, and portrait effect.

DxOMark concluded that even if the iPhone 12 Pro is not the top-flight model in Apple's 2020 smartphone lineup (iPhone 12 Pro Max have better cameras), it still managed to make it into the upper echelons of its camera ranking. It has an improved photo performance versus the iPhone 11 Pro Max and it shines in its video mode that offers a wider dynamic range than many rival phones.

For zooming, it isn't the number 1 pick. But, experts from DxO noted that it is an easy recommendation for any other mobile imaging application.

In the Philippines, the iPhone 12 Pro starts at PHP 62,990. We can expect the new smartphones to arrive soon at Authorized Apple resellers and distributors like Beyond the Box.
