First TCL 20 5G specs and images appear, to arrive in early 2021

Well-known leaker Evan Blass has posted the first look of the TCL 20 5G (model number T781) on their Voice account. Even though the name implies that this is a successor of the TCL 10 5G, Bass explained that TCL Plex is the predecessor of this upcoming model.

According to the leaked specs, the TCL 20 5G is going to be a mid-range smartphone with a Snapdragon 690 processor, a triple camera set-up, and a large display.

In front, there's a Full HD LCD screen with a 6.67" diagonal. Inside, the Snapdragon 690 chipset is paired with 6GB RAM, with either 128GB or 256GB memory.

Meanwhile, the power key is said to act as a fingerprint scanner. It is located on the right side, right under the volume keys. Based on the image,  the left side has a key for easy access to Google Assistant.

Instead of following the horizontal pattern of the TCL 10 series, the brand opted to orient the rear cameras of TCL 20 5G vertically. The primary camera is 48MP, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro camera.  There will be a hole in the center for an 8MP selfie camera.

Lastly, the device is going to be powered by a 4,500 mAh battery.

Rumors said that the TCL 20 5G is anticipated to arrive by next year and the company is planning to announce it at CES 2021. However, the big event got canceled due to the pandemic situation in the United States. It means that TCL will likely have an online launch in the early months of 2021.
