Based on a new Business Korea report, Samsung is looking to expand its Exynos customers by striking deals with Xiaomi and OPPO.
The report said that we'll see budget Xiaomi and OPPO smartphones with Exynos SoCs inside as early as the first half of 2021.
This is not the first time that Samsung sold its chips to rival mobile brands. Earlier this year, the Samsung Exynos 980 debuted on the vivo S6 5G followed by Exynos 880 on the vivo Y70s.
On November 12, Samsung will launch the Exynos 1080 chipset and it is expected to debut on the upcoming vivo X60.
The report said that OPPO and Xiaomi are having difficulties sourcing enough chipsets to meet their goals of expanding production. It is also said that the chipsets have competitive pricing, a reason why the Chinese mobile tech giants picked Samsung.

Apart from budget smartphones, the report added that Samsung will likely be able to supply the Chinese companies chips for premium smartphones.
