Breaking: LalaFood to end operations in the Philippines effective Feb 15

On a Facebook post, LalaFood shared that it will end its operations in the Philippines on February 15, 2021.

LalaFood will end its operations effective Feb 15

In a statement, the company shared that a decision has been made to redirect its focus entirely on its core Lalamove Express Courier business. The company also thanked all LalaFood's customers, partner riders, and merchants.

Our mission doesn’t end here -- 2021 will continue to be another year of strong growth for Lalamove in the Philippines. The year is just unfolding and there’s so much in store for us all. #letsLALA 🧡

This 2021, the company revealed that expansion plans are already underway in Manila and Pampanga for Lalamove.

To recap, LalaFood was an incubation project introduced in 2018. It's an app designed to deliver yummy favorites anywhere within Metro Manila.

The company hasn't shared the reason why. Buy likely, LalaFood didn't do that well.
