DITO finalizes network for NCR, Luzon launch

In a statement, DITO said it has yet to launch its mobile services in Luzon, aside from the 15 initial areas in Visayas and Mindanao.

The third telco player said that while some users may use its SIM card and access its mobile services even outside the cities mentioned in the promo mechanics, the company said users' experience "may change".

Though we are encouraged by the favorable feedback and outpouring of support for DITO, we would like to reiterate that DITO is still not officially available in NCR and in Luzon but will be in a few weeks, DITO said.

Some people can detect and even test DITO in Metro Manila and some parts of Luzon as its network "undergoes optimization."

DITO stressed this is necessary to ensure quality telco services before the formal rollout of its operations.

To recall, GIZGUIDE reported last week that some Filipinos residing in the country's capital and nearby provinces were able to test DITO's network

The new player is backed by Davao's Dennis Uy and China Telecommunications. It vows to deliver at least 27 Mbps of mobile internet speed for its first year in the market.
