Ahead of its May 15 launch date, PLDT Group's satellite television and IPTV provider Cignal revealed the Connect Satellite Broadband service on its official website.
To recap, Satellite Broadband was designed to provide an internet connection in areas that are currently not covered by fiber and mobile broadband. Cignal said that this is the way for people in remote or isolated areas to access the internet.
According to its website, it'll come with a one-time charge of PHP 36,000 for the kit and PHP 6,000 for the installation. The Cignal Connect Kit includes a 1.2m Antenna and 3W BUC (Block Upconverter) for "stable connection and optimal" quality of service and the HT 2300 modem (satellite terminal designed for residential and SME use).
UNLI DATA plans start at 6,500 per month with 2 Mbps max download speed and 0.5 Mbps max upload speed. It can go as high as 10 Mbps max download speed and 1 Mbps with 1 Mbps max download speed. All come with a 12 month lock-in period.
