According to DITO chief administrative officer Adel Tamano, the group has "gone beyond the mandated network coverage" set for its first year of operations in the telco market.
We are very happy to see the results of the hard work the entire DITO team has put in, Tamayo said.
While this was big progress on DITO's infrastructure rollout, the executive said that the new player still needs to face "a long journey ahead of us" as network enhancements and expansion continue.
We at DITO wish to inform the Filipino public that network optimization continues to happen in DITO-covered areas, as well as continuous expansion in other areas to bolster our coverage and capacity, and ultimately ensure that signal and speed live up to the expectation and demand, Tamayo said.
Last week, DITO chairman and chief executive officer Dennis A. Uy said the company now has
500,000 subscribers. DITO also boosted its presence in 100 cities and municipalities.
Filipinos wanting to try DITO's mobile services can also visit the group's 3,000 stores nationwide. This is on top of its official online stores on
Shopee and
Lazada.
