Samsung launched its most affordable 5G phone in the Philippines—the Galaxy A22 5G!

Samsung today has quietly revealed its newest and most affordable smartphone with 5G connectivity for the Philippine market—the Galaxy A22 5G.

First announced in the UK earlier this month, the Galaxy A22 5G is a handset boasting a glasstic curved back cover available in Violet, Mint, White, and Grey colors. It also has a large 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT notch screen which much sharper and better than the HD+ panel of the more expensive PHP 15,990 Galaxy A32 5G.

Inside, it is equipped with the 2.0GHz 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 (950MHz) GPU and a built-in 5G modem. It also has 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage, and 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 15W Adaptive Fast Charging.

For cameras, it is packed with a 48MP f/1.8 main shooter paired with a 5MP ultra-wide cam and a 2MP depth camera. In the notch, it highlights an 8MP f/2.0 shooter.

The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and Dolby Atmos audio.
