The group's LTE Consistency Score for Metro Manila hit 81.30 in the period, a "significant improvement" compared to the 53.96 marks posted in the same period a year ago.

Globe said it has been receiving at least 80 Mobile Consistency Score since April following its accelerated network rollout in the region.

According to Globe, Mobile Consistency Score measures the number of customer data transaction incidence (viewed as a percentage) of a provider's samples equal or exceeds both a download threshold of 5 Mbps and an upload threshold of 1 Mbps.

We aspire to bring the best service to our customers and give them an elevated mobile experience. Since last year, we have made significant strides to bring our Consistency Score™ to the level of other providers in the world, said Ernest Cu, Globe president and chief executive officer.

Globe said it is on the course of deploying more cell towers in the region as it has installed 212 new cell sites in the first half.

A total f 1,954 site upgrades have been also completed in the region during the January to June period.

We encourage our customers to upgrade their 3G SIM cards to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs and upgrade their devices to 4G LTE to further enjoy the benefits of our network upgrades, Cu said.
