Nord 2 is a BEAST |
Specs - For performance, the OnePlus Nord 2 has a 3.0GHz 6nm Custom MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI octa-core processor, Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh with 65W Warp Charge 65.
Samsung Galaxy A52 5G has a 2.2GHz 8nm Snapdragon 750G octa-core processor, Adreno 619 GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh with 25W fast charging.
The OnePlus Nord 2 takes the lead in terms of performance with a faster and better CPU, GPU, bigger RAM, and newer storage tech with UFS 3.1. Its MediaTek chip is at least 2x faster than Samsung's Qualcomm SoC.
For the batteries, they have the same capacity but Nord2 has a faster 65W Warp Charge 65 technology.
Both also have 5G, and 4G LTE. But, only the Nord 2 has WiFi 6. Both are also running Android 11 out of the box.
Cameras - The OnePlus Nord 2 has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 wide-angle w/ OIS + 8MP f/2.25 119-degree ultra-wide-angle w/ EIS + 2MP f/2.5 mono + LED flash. For selfies, there's a 32MP f/2.45 Sony IMX615 w/ EIS.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G has a quad-camera setup with 64MP f/1.8 w/ OIS + 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle + 5MP f/2.2 macro + 5MP f/2/2 depth + LED flash. For selfies, it has a 32MP f/2.2 sensor.
In terms of sheer numbers, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G has 4 camera sensors with a 64MP main sensor. Both devices feature OIS, but Nord 2 has EIS on its ultra-wide sensor as well.
BUT, even if it has a smaller 50MP resolution, the main camera sensor of the Nord 2 is way better. It uses a higher-end camera with a large /1.56-inch sensor.
In terms of selfies, we are giving the lead to the OnePlus Nord 2 for a better sensor as well as EIS.
Other features - OnePlus Nord 2 has WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, OTG, NFC, GPS (L1 + L5 dual-band), GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, NavIC, dual SIM, In-Display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, stereo speakers, and USB-C.

OxygenOS is still better for us and OnePlus promises 2 major updates and 3 years of security updates. But, Samsung's One UI skin is improving. The Korean firm also promised that it will get 3 major updates.
OnePlus Nord 2 advantages - WAY FASTER SOC, bigger RAM option, faster storage, WAY BETTER primary camera, 65W Warp Charge 65, cleaner Oxygen OS skin, more affordable starting price
Samsung Galaxy A52 5G NFC advantages - 120Hz screen, IP67 certification, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3 major OS udpdates
Our thoughts
For PHP 2K more, the OnePlus Nord 2 packs an overall package. It has a better SoC, faster RAM, and storage, faster charging, and a decent OIS and EIS-supported 50MP triple camera setup.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G is still a compelling pick for its 120Hz screen and IP67 water and dust resistance. A52 5G is decent, but it is no match versus the Nord 2.
