Highlights of OPPO's 17-year global journey

Back in 2008, the company introduced the OPPO A103 mobile phone. It has a unique back design and it became more commonly known as the smiley face phone. It sold over a million units in the first year it launched. Its fun design became a stand-out friendly design in an industry laden with serious designs.

OPPO also shared a story about a Filipino soldier that was saved by the Reno4 smartphone. The soldier was part of a squad that was ambushed by enemies when they were on patrol. In the heat of the battle, he was hit. Thankfully, his OPPO Reno4 stopped the bullet and he came out of the battle unharmed. The Reno4, on the other hand, suffered only a cracked screen and a damaged battery. Once repaired, the phone functioned as new again.

In Pakistan, OPPO hosted an online music festival to entertain people during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. It featured four Pakistani singers namely Bilal Saeed, Asim Azhar, Shamoon Ismail, and Ali Hamza. It was a four-day event to cheer everyone up and encourage people to stay indoors.

In India, OPPO shared that for every 3 seconds, one OPPO smartphone is produced at the company's Greater Noida super factory in India. The materials here go through series of manufacturing processes and over 150 quality assurance tests. The super factory also produces millions of mobile devices every month.

In the Middle East and Africa, OPPO turned the 828 meter Burj Khalifa into a gorgeous green billboard to celebrate the launch of the OPPO Reno2. In Japan, the launch of the OPPO Reno3 A invited the Japanese celebrity named Sashihara Rino to become the brand ambassadress for the Reno product line.

In Western Europe, OPPO debuted in the region with OPPO Find X. It was unveiled at the glass pyramids of the Louvre in France. OPPO also opened its Turkish factory. The factory was the only local factory to receive a CKD certification. It also had a full production line qualification and the application of highly automated Surface Mount technology.

In Latin America, 2020 has been OPPO's debut. Within only five quarters, the company stated that it penetrated the Mexican, Chilean, and Colombian markets. OPPO also said that it has also ranked among the top five in Latin American markets for the first time, with its 7004 percent annual growth in this market!
