Miss Universe Philippines 2021 to launch World's First Beauty Pageant NFTs!

The Miss Universe Philippines has partnered with RedFOX Labs to release an NFT collection for this year's competition.

Southeast Asian blockchain venture builder RedFOX Labs is providing an avenue for fans and supporters to purchase NFT collectibles for their beauty queen of choice. NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are digital assets that can represent a wide variety of real-world concepts such as ownership over one-of-a-kind art, videos, in-game items, and other collectibles.

A lot of luxury brands, like HypeBeast for example, are also taking on NFTs to create experiences for their consumers. Allegedly, the Miss Universe Philippines NFT collection honors the beauty pageant's essence of empowerment and grace. This coincides with other premium luxury brands that seek to renew that essence and connect directly with the fanbase.

The Miss Universe Philippines NFT Collection has a unique selection of NFTs featuring the top 30 finalists for the 2021 edition of the pageant. The theme of the beauty pageant is "Inspire You" and each of the top 30 contenders will have 4 NFTs made in their image, ranging from headshots to pictures featuring RFOX sportswear.

According to RedFOX Labs, these NFTS are in limited supply, with a maximum of 9,900 units in total. Once sold, these unique collectibles will only be available on the secondary markets. 

Also, these NFTs have degrees of rarity including Common (6000 units), Uncommon (2700 units), Rare (900 units), and Mythic (300 units.). These NFT cards can be stored, traded, and sold just like physical assets, which allows owners to earn from their proceeds.

The Miss Universe-Philippines NFT collection will be released on September 24, 2021. It will be available for purchase using the RFOX token via MetaMask or Uniswap. Here are the step-by-step instructions to buy RFOX tokens using either of those two:

How to Buy RFOX on MetaMask

1. Sign up for a crypto wallet that supports accessible cash-in channels in the Philippines like PDAX, Coins.PH, or Binance.

2. Add funds to your crypto wallet and buy ETH.

3. Send the ETH you bought to your MetaMask wallet. 

4. Once on MetaMask, add RFOX to your list of tokens (add tokens > custom tokens > token address + token symbol + token of precision)

5. Swap your ETH for RFOX.

How to Buy RFOX on Uniswap

1. Sign up for a crypto wallet that supports accessible cash-in channels in the Philippines like PDAX, Coins.PH, or Binance.

2. Add funds to your crypto wallet and buy ETH.

3. Send the ETH you bought to your MetaMask wallet. 

4. Launch the Uniswap app and connect your Metamask wallet. 

5. Under the Swap function, add RFOX as the token you’d like to get.

7. Enter the amount of ETH you will spend or the amount of RFOX tokens you need to buy. Make sure that you have sufficient ETH balance to complete the deal. 

8. Click Swap. A preview of the transaction will appear in a pop-up window from your MetaMask wallet.

9. Confirm the transaction in the MetaMask wallet. You will receive your RFOX tokens.
