ColorOS 12 might feature cross-screen interconnection features

Previously, OPPO officially revealed that it will be revealing the ColorOS 12 in mid-September but without an exact date and time. Now, in a recent development, OPPO has confirmed the launch date of the ColorOS 12 via its official Weibo handle.

The company’s upcoming ColorOS 12 version will be based on Android 12. The event has a tagline, "One More Step" as seen on the invitation poster.

Ahead of the release, OPPO posted the official wallpapers to download. The company has posted a short video with several geometric shapes that form into the logo of the ColorOS 12. This and the wallpapers suggest a colorful and vibrant interface.

These wallpapers have a resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, so there are assumptions that they are from the Find X3 Pro. Wallpapers in the gallery are allegedly compressed, but their full resolution version can be downloadable by clicking the link here.

Rumors say that ColorOS 12 beta for flagship devices will arrive soon after the announcement. On the other hand, the stable release and global roll-out are expected to follow this year.

Meanwhile, Leaker Digital Chat Station uploaded on Weibo an image of the ColorOS 12 that shows the UI in mobile phones, tablets, and watches. This can mean that this OS could support cross-screen interconnection features such as cross-device file transfer, clipboard sharing, photo and message sync.

OPPO also confirmed the launch of new products that possibly the Reno 7 series, a new wearable that might be OPPO Watch Free, and a new tablet.

However, we are not sure yet about the details mentioned above so we have to wait for OPPO's official announcement on the event itself.
