Sony Alpha 1 wins the EISA Camera of the Year award for 2021

Sony Alpha 7S III

Sony was proud to announce that 7 awards from the Expert Imaging and Sound Association Awards went their way. 

The seven awards were as follows:

EISA Home Theater Projector 2021 - 2022 - Sony VPL-VW590ES

First up, the EISA Camera of the Year is the Sony Alpha 1 with a 50.1MP full-frame stacked Exmor RS CMOS image sensor with the BIONZ XR processor. It has the capability to shoot 30fps continuous shots. It also has a dual-driven shitter that allows flash sync up to 1/400 second and electronic shutter flash up to 1/200 second. It can also shoot up to 8K 30fps videos at 10-bit 4:2:0 format.

Sony Alpha 7S III

The Sony Alpha 7S III was deemed the Photo/Video Camera of 2021. It won due to its 4K video quality and its 12.1MP back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS image sensor with an ISO coverage up to 409,600 and minimized rolling shutter effects. It can shoot 4K at 60fps at normal mode while going at 4K at 120fps and 1080p 0 at240fps for slow motion. It also has a flip OLED screen as well.

The three lens categories were won by the FE 50mm f/1.2 GM, FE 14mm f/1.8 GM, and FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM lenses. These three lenses are made to specific tasks each. The FE 50mm f/1.2 GM serves as the standard, all-rounder, the FE 14mm f/1.8 GM serves as the wide-angle maestro, while the FE 12-24mm serves as the zoom/wide-angle two-way player.

Sony Xperia 1 III

The Sony Xperia 1 III won the Multimedia Smartphone award due to its great cameras with continuous AF across all sensors, Real-time Eye AF, a variable telephoto lens with dual-PD sensor, 4K HDR 120Hz screen, and flagship specs with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.

Lastly, the Sony VPL-VW590ES won the EISA Home Theater Projector award with its X1 processor for the projector. It allows for 4K HDR content consumption with Dynamic HDR Enhancer to see the movie or video as the creator intended. It gives an immersive viewing experience.
