CES 2022: MSI announces the new H670, B660, and H610 motherboards

MSI H670, B660, H610 series motherboards are now official

These new MSI motherboard series are designed to handle the 12th Gen Intel Core processors. The highlight here is the MSI B660 series with both MAG and PRO versions as well as DDR4 and DDR5 variants. 

MSI B660 DDR5 motherboards' overclocking memory frequency may reach 6200MHz thanks to MSI OC LAB's tune and MSI Memory Boost. PCIe 4.0, which enables 64GB/s of transfer bandwidth, is supported by all MSI B660 Series motherboards. MSI MAG B660 motherboards contain 6 layers PCB with 2oz copper and up to 12 DrMOS with Duet Rail Power System to ensure steady current delivery to the core CPUs.

MSI B660 ATX motherboards have up to three M.2 Gen4 slots for storage, with a maximum transfer speed of 64GB/s. MSI B660 motherboards now offer rear and front USB Type-C ports in response to changing user behaviors, as well as 2.5G LAN and Wi-Fi 6. The latest Wi-Fi 6E network solution is included on the MAG B660 DDR5 motherboards.

The heat dissipation solution plays a critical role in preserving performance, with top-tier specs and a performance-centric design. Extended Heatsink, M.2 Shield Frozr, and MSI's unique software Frozr AI Cooling are among the heatsink designs available on MSI motherboards.

The B660 platforms are touted to be ideal for DIY PC beginners, MSI implemented various DIY solutions that have received positive feedback from consumers. The MAG B660 motherboards come with pre-installed I/O Shield and EZ M.2 Clips, which make it easier for DIY users to install M.2 SSDs. Last but not least, for the current Windows 11 operating system, all MSI B660 motherboards support TPM 2.0.

MSI also announced the MAG H670 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 in addition to the B660 platforms. It includes 14 DrMOS and twin 8-pin power connectors, as well as a Duet Rail Power System. With Shield Frozr, it also has up to three M.2 slots. High-speed connectivity is provided by the MAG H670 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4. 

The MAG H670 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 sports a Lightning USB 20G Type-C port as well as an onboard 2.5G LAN and Wi-Fi 6. For the latest core processors, this motherboard is an excellent pick.

MSI H610 motherboards are a must-have for anyone building a PC for business or personal use. For consumers that may be unfamiliar with the DIY procedure, the PRO H610 Series motherboards feature Steel Armor and EZ M.2 Clips to make the assembly process go more smoothly.
