The Garmin Fenix 7 features three models namely the Fenix 7S, Fenix 7, and Fenix 7X. They come in 42mm, 44mm, 47mm, and 51mm variants respectively. The smartwatches are made out of fiber-reinforced polymer and stainless steel. There are special Solar and Sapphire Solar models with sapphire glass protection and titanium casings as well as solar charging panels.

Transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) color touchscreen displays with a 1.2-inch diagonal on the 42mm model, 1.3-inch on the 47mm model, and 1.4-inch on the 51mm model are featured on all Fenix 7 variants. The five side-mounted buttons additionally provide haptic controls.

The battery life on the Fenix 7S with GPS active ranges from 90 hours to 213 hours on the higher-end Solar versions. The Fenix 7X has also has a built-in LED flashlight that helps climbers explore caverns. Additionally, runners are more visible during night training sessions.

Other features include wrist-based heart rate measures, SpO2, stress, breathing, and sleep tracking are all included in the latest Fenix versions, which are also 10ATM waterproof.

The highlight here is the massive number of sports and activity tracking profiles available including detailed information for running, cycling, skiing, swimming, golf, and strength training, among other sports and activities. For best navigation on your climbing or skiing activities, you can also download topoactive and ski maps right to your watch.

All Fenix 7 smartwatches are compatible with all GNSS positioning standards, including the L5 standard, which provides more precise information. The Fenix 7S has 16GB of storage while the Sapphire Solar has 32GB, and all models include NFC that supports Garmin Pay.

The Epix Gen 2 has a 1.3-inch Always-On AMOLED touchscreen and is housed in a single 47mm stainless steel or titanium chassis. It is protected by Gorilla Glass DX, while the top-tier models are made of sapphire crystal.

As it is a more budget-friendly option, it does not feature solar charging or an LED flashlight. It does promise a 16-day battery life. It also has the same health and activity tracking from the Fenix 7 series. It also has up to 32GB storage and 10ATM water resistance.
