Method Research: Globe ranked first in a perception survey for 2021

Globe Telecom Inc. recently topped the 2021 Mobile Operators Survey conducted by the global market research firm Method Research.

Globe is leading in all four categories, including internet speed and price competitiveness

The telco giant was able to be on the number 1 spot in all four categories in the Mobile Network Operators 2021. These include network coverage, internet speed, digital marketing campaigns, and price competitiveness.

According to the report from Method Research, the survey covered 1,593 respondents nationwide. The goal of this study is to understand and gather general insights on the Filipino population's perceptions and preferences on the mobile phone network operator sector in the country.  Globe CEO and President  Ernest Cu said,

The results of the new survey affirm that Globe prevails as a trusted brand among Filipinos. We are thankful to our customers for believing in us and staying with us.

Based on the results, 33.63 percent of respondents picked Globe in terms of best network coverage, followed closely by Smart at 32.93 percent, TNT at 11.59 percent, Dito Telecommunity at 10.89 percent, TM at 8.94 percent, and Sun Cellular at 1.95 percent.

When it comes to Internet speed, Globe is still the top choice among the respondents with 31.55 percent, followed by Smart with 29.79 percent, Dito with 21.16 percent, TNT with 9.26 percent, TM with 6.55 percent, and Sun Cellular with 1.64 percent.

Meanwhile, 27.46 percent of respondents picked Globe in terms of competitive pricing. This is followed by Smart with 19.27 percent, Dito with 17.13 percent, TM with 17 percent, TNT with 14.67 percent, and Sun Cellular with 4.41 percent.

Globe was also number one in terms of digital marketing campaigns with 38.29 percent. Smart grabbed the second spot with 33.12 percent, followed by Dito with 10.01 percent, TNT with 9.32 percent, and TM with 8.31 percent.

Method Research said that the competition among mobile operators in the Philippines is now fiercer than ever since Dito entered. The research firm explained that the newcomer still has a long way to close the gap with its rivals. However, it can be a disruptive competitor in the current market. 

DITO is said to be is starting with a 4G/5G network that can be an advantage in attracting 2G/3G users when combined with attractive offers.

As for Globe, CEO Ernest Cu claimed that the company will continue its efforts to deliver a first-world network and affordable products and services that meet the changing needs and demands of our customers.
