Meta launches Reels globally!

Originally, Reels is only a part of Instagram and it is designed to be its own version of TikTok.

Aside from boosting the Reels' accessibility, the social media giant is also introducing brand new features to the platform's Facebook version and widening advertising alternatives. The majority of these capabilities are already accessible on Facebook Reels in the United States and more, as well as Instagram Reels in over 50 countries.

Through this feature, users of the platform will be able to "remix" other people's clips and upload them up to 60 seconds long similar to Instagram Reels. Alongside that, they will be able to store drafts and Meta will be rolling out new video clipping tools that should help content makers who post their live or long-form recorded films to try alternative formats in the following months.

Moreover, Meta is also adding a way for users to earn via ads. This comprises two new formats such as banner ads that pop up as a "semi-transparent overlay below the Facebook Reel" and the static sticker ads "which allows the content creator to place it anywhere within their reel".

Reels are already our fastest-growing content format by far, and today we're making it available to everyone on Facebook globally. We want Reels to be the best place for creators to connect with their community and make a living, so we're launching new monetization tools too, said Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO and Founder

The social media conglomerate will also roll out paid Stars and provide creators to use its automated ad-placement feature in almost all countries where in-stream ads are accessible. This means that they are giving fans to directly donate to their favored streamers.

The company also mentioned that for the coming weeks, their consumers will be able to share Reels in more places on Facebook, including the Watch Tab and Stories.

What do you guys think? Have you tried it yet?
